Ride4life WA - Inaugural 1,000 K’s in a Day

Ride4life WA - Inaugural 1,000 K’s in a Day

Ride4Life WA have announced their first endurance ride for motorcycle riders in WA.

There is a maximum of 25 riders (bikes) so if you want to attend, please register early.

Registrations and payment must be done on the website: www.ride4life.org.au so we have records of Next of Kin and Bike Details. Also because there is a registration fee 100% of which will go to our Charities Account.

  • It is a group ride and will be undertaken at legal road speeds and following the set itinerary.
  • There is a lot of highway riding to ensure we can ride the distance in the time allocated.
  • A total of 1033 Kms in approximately 14 hours with all our stops for fuel and comfort.

There is a cost to the event of $55.00 per bike (10% discount for Ride4Life members) and you are responsible for your own fuel, food and drinks. Please ensure your bike and you are ready for the ride and comfortable to do this distance.

NB: There may be a support vehicle with a trailer following the group in case of any unknown issues.

NB: We would also ask you to have Personal and Bike Insurance as you will be riding at your own risk and Roadside Assistance in case of any major issues to your bike.

Meeting Point: BP Service Station, Cnr Scarborough Beach Road and Charles Street, North Perth
Meeting Time: 05.15/05.30am
“Stands Up”: 06.00am

We will ride through to Armadale to join the Albany Highway to Williams. There will be a short stop for fuel and comfort in Williams before continuing onto Mt Barker for fuel and a leg stretch.

From Mt Barker we will ride east alongside the Porongorups to Chesterpass Road and into Albany. Here we will stop for around half to three quarters of an hour before refuelling and heading towards Denmark and onto Walpole for a fuel and comfort stop.

From Walpole we will continue up the South West Highway to Manjimup for fuel and then onto Nannup and Busselton (again for fuel and a comfort stop).
Then we are homeward bound through Bunbury to Mandurah and back to Perth arriving around 8.00pm.

Stops along the way will be as short as possible as there are several to make so we cater for all bikes and hopefully riders. This itinerary has been done before and can be done fairly easily in the time allocated.

Lastly, there will be a rider briefing prior to departure, so please arrive at the designated time to allow for fuelling up and that quick coffee before we go.
